The Great Tribulation and the End of the Age
A Biblical Treatment of the Olivet Discourse and the End Times
Most of the modern treatments of the end times are based on newspaper headlines, current events, and best guesses. And a great deal of it is driven by fear and sensationalism. The 21st Century Church is in need of more biblically based resources to cut through the noise.
There have been some excellent modern works published by godly men along these lines, but not enough yet to drown out all of the sensationalism out there. That's part of the reason why I have published my new book, The Great Tribulation and the End of the Age. I pray it can help shine some needed light for those who read it.
The book covers the Olivet Discourse as it is presented in Matthew. It also spends a few chapters covering a broad view of eschatology and the place of national Israel.
There are varied takes on these things. For each perspective, there are able and godly Christians. My hope is that, whether you agree or disagree with my arguments, you will be driven into God’s Word and challenged to search the Scriptures.
Below are some excerpts to give you a quick snapshot of the book:
“The temple was speaking of the one to come. He came. The temple and all of its sacrifices and customs are now irrelevant. He will no longer dwell there. Instead, He will dwell in the hearts of His people.”
“Without fail, every time there is an eclipse, blood moon, or some kind of planetary alignment, people go off the rails with predictions of the end. After thousands of years of these things happening on cycle, we are always asked to believe that the next one is THE one. It gets ridiculous.”
“Our evangelism is energized when we realize it is a search and rescue mission. We are not going out to the world unsure if any will come. We are going out to the world with assurance that all whom Christ has called will come. The Gospel call will never fail to save Christ’s chosen bride.”
“Rapture simply means ‘caught up.’ In that sense, we will be raptured, but not to disappear to another realm.”
